My first debut...(Fictional Story)

Updated: May 23, 2020

Disclaimer: This is a fictional story and not a reality. You are welcomed if you want to read this! These stories will mainly come on weekends. Just want to make sure that our news updates will never compromise.

Story begins...

I woke up in the morning at 9. I picked up my glasses and saw a blue sky with birds flying in flocks. The sun was staring back at me, wildly. I walked down the stairs and saw the Daily Hawk City newspaper on the warm wooden surface, my name is written there in capital letters, "BOYLE HOUDINI". Suddenly, I read the headline, "Crime Alert", I skimmed through the article urgently. It looked like I was fighting reality. Oh! and one thing that I forgot to tell, I am slow at reading. It took me almost 10 minutes to read that article which was almost two pages long. Read the last two lines which were always intense and the main important message they wanted to convey, which they could have done just by writing those last two sentences. I read my name in the last line, and it told as follows, "Boyle Houdini is accused of millions of dollars bank fraud". At first, I thought that there could be many Boyles but as I shifted my pair of eyes down, I saw myself! I was in shock, my blood stopped flowing and my veins froze for a minute. I had numerous thoughts that came in my mind, which were all about how is the photo of my face was in the newspaper. I was devastated and confused. I was a 14 year old. How could I have done that? I am a child not a murder, I shouted, my voice echoed around the house. I was confused and disgusted. I did n' t knew who I should ask for help. Then, I leapt on the sofa, searching for my phone. Immediately, I saw contacts that could have helped me. Scrolling downwards, I suddenly remembered Aunt Nadia who is my neighbor. She is in her mid-60's and a huge fan of classic country songs. She is a great cook and a dancer. Her best recipe is the crab boiled with a burnt fish. She once tried to make me eat her dish, but I ran away with the excuse of finishing my homework. I was a foreign student, who lived at Nempa City earlier, but then came to Hawk City for the best education. My parents said that I should go by myself since affording education here is very expensive already. I went rushing towards my neighbor's house which was standing still as always. Knocked on the door with any desperate signs I could possibly show in the sound of two knocks. I was fidgeting and was so desperate that I nearly killed her two plants at her door front. As I was waiting, there were two men passing by and were searching for somebody. They were just about to approach me, but then I started doing gardening, making myself look busy, so they wouldn’t bother me by asking questions. Aunt Nadia shouted, "COMING". She took almost 5 minutes since her house was two-story and so it took her almost as long as I took the time to read". Then she slid her mirror door which was opaque. Her broad smile which was always embarrassing, she asked, "welcome Boyle, coming after a long time, I believe" I said: "Yes aunt, I wanted to talk about something, can I come inside?", She said, "uh... yes. come". I entered her house as quickly as I can. I sat at her second armchair which was for her husband, Mr. Fromheyer, a lawyer at a top law firm who was soon to retire. She asked, "so what I can help you with, dear?". I started blabbering. She slowed me down. I told her that I am facing an accusation of bank fraud. She started laughing and clapped her hands cheerfully. She asked, "Is this a joke, are you pranking me Boyle", "you know I am not too old to understand jokes". Her face went red, when she started laughing. Then I showed her my image in the newspaper, she still was laughing and then read the news that was written. She looked at me and then the newspaper, back-and-forth. She clicked her tongue, and said, "Oh". I waited for her to elaborate on her expression. She said, "that's impossible, how could you be accused of bank fraud, you don't even have a bank account do you?". No I don't, I replied.
