As everyone in the world is facing exigent situations during this crisis, schools are also facing this affliction. Schools with overwhelming populations of students are facing these predicaments like on-line education funding, internet availability, and providing food for take-out services. Whilst the crisis, on-line distance learning is arduous for the students who don't have access to internet or wi fi services in order to proceed the distance learning activities. But the districts are trying to cooperate with cable services at their locality to provide free hotspots and wi fi. Now, it definitely is harder for Los Angeles Unified School District to survive these harsh times. Since they have 639, 337 students overall and 1,021 schools in the whole school district. Also, L.A.U.S.D is the largest school district in the U.S. L.A.U.S.D informed the public that they are also paying the substitute teachers, but these teachers are only paid when they teach. The enormous issue to focus on is quality education for the students. The Daily News reported that there 61.6 percent class of 2011 earned their diplomas. There may have been a change in the data but still the overall niche for students in the district is a "C". So in order for student to be successful for on-line education, it would be hard to maintain the integrity and academic success outside school. “We’re at the whim of the district for class size,” said Levin at one of the schools at LAUSD, as she picketed on the first day of her union’s strike against LAUSD. Take-out meal plan idea was adopted by many school districts across the U.S. public schools. It is where student's parents or family members can take lunch from their school for their kids. In conclusion, with the help of federal government, philanthropists, teachers and lunch ladies, we can make our nation thrive and work properly during the worst times. Which is what makes the U.S. a great nation that stands out of every other country even with the most COVID cases.
